UK's masked producer, SBTRKT, continues to mysteriously let loose new singles via his SoundCloud page with his latest offering, "Terminal".
The track is an upbeat constant of cohesive electronic sounds describing an abstract tale from the studio.
Despite no real insight as to where or what "Terminal" might end up on, new SBTRKT is always welcome here.
Jai Paul's breakout single, "BTSTU", took the music world by storm last summer thanks to Drake's hit rework on "Dreams Money Can Buy". While you wait for more, listen to the raw demo below and hope for a download!
Stones Throw's modern funk machine, DāM-FunK drops yet another unreleased gem via his Soundcloud titled, "Serious". This one features a nice progressive jazz twist reminiscent of some late Roy Ayers. Nothing like some upbeat jazz funk to vibe you through the day.
" This is just 1 that didn't make the forthcoming album. It's basically, my kinda' Jazz. Recorded in L.A. (without any samples, whatsoever. I sample.. 'my mind'. U may wanna think about trying it too). Peace & keep reachin'. " - DāM-FunK

A wise man once told me that summer brings out the crazies and given this summer so far, those words still hold very true. T-dot's Zeds Dead have been preaching for the past 2 years and have become a staple to all bassheads out there in that short period. After touring the U.S. this summer which included a stop at a little ol south beach festival called Ultra, this duo have truly put their mark on music itself. Here's their latest mix they collaborated with Plastician on for Rinse.fm . Fasten your seat belts boys and girls because its about to get loud.
I came across this underground polish beatmaker, Galus, a while back and was really feelin the vibes off his Soundcloud page. I got in touch with him and he ended up mailing me this beat tape; 'Retro Lyrics'. The album features 24 smooth and soulful tracks guaranteed to make your head nod!
"This album is made as a 'beat tape', 24 short instrumental pieces made of samples from old vinyl records. Mixture of big beat, jazz, psychodelic rock and electronic music."
Equipement used: TECHNICS 1200 EMU SP 12 MPC 2000 xl ROLAND vs 840 Teac - 80-8 (reel to reel tape recorder) - Galus

I came across this very dope beat that sampled Rose Royce's "Love Don't Live Here Anymore" by Polish beat-maker Galus/Pokój Czarnych Płyt that you can listen to and download below:

NEW LAURYN HILL TRACK!!!!!!!!! Many of us have been waiting for a new track from the legendary Ms. Lauryn Hill for years now and it is here! The track is called "Reprecussions", however at this time it is uncertain whether this track is previously unreleased or a newly made track, either way, it's unheard music and its GOOD! The beat has that classic Lauryn Hill feel while her beautiful soothing voice and lyrical advice makes for a very exciting possible comeback?
I was in the mood to hear some new Dibia$e joints this morning so I checked out his Soundcloud and ended up finding an EP's worth of new tracks (6 tracks) all uploaded yesterday. I smell a new Dibia$e beat tape!
As I mentioned in an earlier post, Red Bull Music Academy is dropping their newest volume of "Various Assets", this time the "London 2010" edition, on July 19 2010! If you don't already know, the Red Bull Music Academy is an amazing project that brings together a select, highly talented group of applicants every year in a new city and gives them the resources to create musical masterpieces while making some very valuable connections at the same time. RBMA has number of notable graduates including Flying Lotus, Dorian Concept and the most recent from this years class, TOKiMONSTA. Another great track off the upcoming album produced by TOKiMONSTA and featuring Andreya Triana on the chorus and Oddisee and Tranquill rhyming on the beat.
One of LA's premier female beat-makers and Red Bull Music Academy All-star, Tokimonsta teamed up with Montreal's Lunice and German producer Swede: art to bring you one of the freshest beats I've heard in a while. This collaborative effort is the first single off of the latest volume of the "Various Asssets" albums presented by Red Bull Music Academy. The likes of James Pants, Katy B, Space Dimension Controller, Dâm-Funk, Hudson Mohawke, and many of the other producers that were involved with this year's RBMA in London will be featured on "Various Assets" on its July 19th release.
T.DOT STAND UP! There's not enough that can be said about the Toronto Beat Maker/Producer; Elaquent also known as EQ. This Hip-Hip/Electronica artist has been tearing up the Toronto beat scene for years now. What really put me on to his music was when I first heard Elaquent's In Colour Vol.1 (Dirty Loops). It was so blatantly obvious that it had been greatly influenced by the man J Dilla with samples from his beats, his vocals and the continuos "Turn It Up" sample in many of his songs along with his raw beats were hard to put down. He recently released his album "Persona" which has gained major attention in the underground and is one of my favorites at the moment. Check Out Every Song Below:
Support Elaquent by purchasing "Persona" for a measly 9 bucks, seriously this shit is worth it. Purchase @ Band Camp or iTunes
