I'm just going to go ahead and say that Mariah Carey's Daydream is one of my favorite albums of all time.  While the legendary producer David Morales is one of my favorite 90's house artists. The two were frequent collaborators back in the day which led to a number of major dance hits. As a result, this weeks Turn Back Time Monday features David Morales' 1996 remix of Mariah Carey's classic single, Always Be My Baby. This one takes me waaaay back...

TBTM: Nina Simone - Feeling Good (1965) [Video]

This weeks Turn Back Time Monday features the late great Nina Simone's beautiful 1965 single, Feeling Good off her legendary album I Put A Spell On You. Most of you who have been busy Watch(ing) the Throne, probably recognize this from the Kanye sampled track, New Day. I'm surprised they didn't put "featuring Nina Simone" in the track name like they did with Otis. Since when did a sample become a feature?
It's a new dawn, its a new day, Its a new life for me

Turn Back Time Mondays: Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy [Music Video]

Generally believed to be the blueprint to the trip-hop genre, Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy, with vocals from Shara Nelson, is one of the biggest tracks to have hit the 90s. This song out in '91 is regularly featured in the top tracks of the past decades. Put simply, this track doesn't need an introduction and my words definitely won't do it justice. Press play, sit back, and vibe. Happy Monday!
