TBTM: A Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation [Music Video]

In this weeks Turn Back Time Monday we bring you a classic to kick start this New Year. Hip Hop legends A Tribe Called Quest crafted this anthem and released the video in 1994. RVS hopes all you had the New Years you wished for and wish you the best for 2012. Whether or not you partied too hard, there's nothing like a little "Electric Relaxation" to do some soul searching. Enjoy.

Rapper Big Pooh - They Say ft. Phife Dawg & T3 [DWNLD]

What we have here is three members of three legendary rap groups that are no more...Former Little Brother member, Rapper Big Pooh, pulls former A Tribe Called Quest member, Phife Dawg, out of hiatus along with former Slum Village member, T3, to remix They Say off his recent solo album, Dirty Pretty Things. The trio talk about group dynamics and breaking out on solo tips. The sad thing is we'll probably never see another LB, ATCQ or SV album again.

Turn Back Time Mondays: The Fugees - Rumble In The Jungle ft. A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes & John Forté (1997) [Music Video]

Star studded line up of legendary artists on one of my all time favorite joints. This weeks TBTM is The Fugees tribute to Muhammad Ali entitled Rumble In The Jungle featuring A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes and John Forté circa 1997.

This track was featured on the excellent documentary When We Were Kings based on the infamous Rumble In The Jungle heavy weight championship fight between Muhammad Ali and George Forman held in Zaire.

Timeless Clasic.

J Rocc - Blue Note Mix [DWNLD]

This is a few years old but has been in heavy rotation on my iTunes as of late and definitely worth some recognition.

"J Rocc has these records and many of the records that sampled them, and J Rocc cannot stop making incredible mixtapes .... " - Stones Throw Records
