Com Truise - Check Yo Ponytail (Mixtape) [DWNLD]

" With Valentine’s day just around the corner, Com Truise surprised us with a little bit of computer love by way of a new exclusive mixtape just for you. This latest addition is a meandering wash of retro-futuristic selections, infused with kraut rhythms and hints of new wave that are seamlessly sewn into his own discography. These shimmering synth cuts combined with Com’s slow motion funk create a spacial, nostalgic experience that remains sensual and endearing while searching for synthetic warmth in the vast and open digital realm. TBTM: Eddie Murphy - Party All The Time [Music Video]

This weeks Turn Back Time Monday is Eddie Murphy's classic and only notable 80's anthem, Party All The Time off his debut album, How Could It Be, circa 1985. Yeah I went there...and I'd do it again damn it! The in studio music video features Eddie along with Rick James and a number of other musicians. Make all the jokes you want but this is still THAT track.

Onra - Change Of Heart [DWNLD]

Parisian funk producer, Onra has a Change Of Heart on this Japanese exclusive cut.
" We mean this without any negative connotations at all: Onra is apparently big in Japan. The French electro-funk producer at least seems to frequent the country more than most of his peers do, and even crafted a two-track 7" of edits (pictured above) exclusively for his next Japanese tour. "Change of Heart" is one of those cuts, and finds the tunesmith working a little more on the dark side of his '80s-inspired production style. Grab that tune here, and make sure to check out the list of Onra's forthcoming performances after the jump. " - VIA XLR8R

Onra - Sitting Back [Music Video]

Vintage music video for Onra's classic track Sitting Back off of his album Long Distance which was named  our Number 1 Album of 2010. The video is a time machine to the 80's, synced with that old school 80's funk sound.

"I sampled from my collection of obscure 80's videos and a few internet clips to produce this clip for his track, "Sitting Back."
Shout to Onra, Nathan Love for the compositing help, and all the artists and videographers I "visually sampled" for this piece. Hope no one's offended ;) " - Director Matt Ferran
