The artist formerly known as Mos Def, now known as Yasiin Bey, drops the vivid visuals for his social commentary, "Ni**as In Poorest". Mos, as always, comes through with the socially conscious lyrics in order to remind listeners about the real issues. For those of you trying to make something out of nothing, this is not a diss track towards Kanye and Jay-Z. This is just the first remake of Bey's "Top 40 Underdogs" project. A couple of summers ago I was at the Mad Decent Block Party in New York where I was enlightened by an array of up and coming musical talents. Ask anyone that was there though, DJ Sega was the standout. From the second that I heard his Riot Music remix blow up the crowd that day I've been hooked on his Philly club bangers. Most recently, Sega just dropped his free EP, The Throne Is Watching Me, which features hot remixes of O.T.I.S, H.A.M, 2Pac Back, Finito and more! Listen and grab the EP below.

TBTM: Nina Simone - Feeling Good (1965) [Video]
This weeks Turn Back Time Monday features the late great Nina Simone's beautiful 1965 single, Feeling Good off her legendary album I Put A Spell On You. Most of you who have been busy Watch(ing) the Throne, probably recognize this from the Kanye sampled track, New Day. I'm surprised they didn't put "featuring Nina Simone" in the track name like they did with Otis. Since when did a sample become a feature?
