Earlier this year when Lunice and Hudson Mohawke debuted their Summer anthem, "Bugg'n", we all knew it was only a matter of time before rappers started hopping on the neck breaking production. To kick off what will likely be a long line of lyrical attempts to follow, Captain Murphy attacks the instrumental on what is being called, "Shake Weight". Some of you may remember Murphy from Flying Lotus' recent single, "Between Friends", alongside Earl Sweatshirt in which the rapper showcased a number of jaw dropping bars. Listen and download the remix below and keep an eye out for the rising LA rapper!

" 5 years deep, the kid Hudson Mohawke returns with the definitive soundtrack to Valentines. Look, cancel that reservation. Put the money into good pizza and champagne. You’re getting this shit for free so buy your spiritual counterpoint something: the Heathers DVD. A single rose. Some salted caramels. Whatever. You got all the other magic you need right here. And if you’re alone tonight that’s okay; being into shit like this you’re gonna be fine. Trust us. Buy yourself those caramels. Get naked enough. Let a lil Mo get inside you… Happy Valentines everybody. " - LuckyMe
While we wait for Childish Gambino's debut LP, Camp, the actor turned rapper goes in off the top of the dome on Hudson Mohawke's Twistclip Loop instumental. About time all these rappers started recognizing Hud Mo's talent. Camp drops November 15th.
"It might be time to play something a little like harder"
Earlier this year the R&B remix king, Hudson Mohawke, put his patented touch on Jamie Woon's hit single Lady Luckbut I never got around to posting it because I was to busy hitting repeat. Grab it below and vibe!
Hudson Mohawke continues to make a living off his knack for putting his neck breaking spin on yesterdays hits with his latest remix of Janet Jackson's The Pleasure Principle.
Hudson Mohawke pays a special tribute to the beautifully brilliant songstress, Aaliyah, by remixing her Timbaland produced track, Are You That Somebody?I prefer the original but this is pretty dope too.
HudMo back with another electronically charged, bass heavy remix of Keri Hilson's Turnin' Me Onft. Lil Wayne. This is just a teaser for the upcoming Satin Panthers EP which is out August 1st. You can preview the EP below as well as the remix.
"It is with great pride we present the 4th Valentines Slow Jams compendium by Hudson Mo. This time it’s a sparkling, sweat-drenched slab of hormones from the early 2000s with just a dash of Tevin Campbell cause… well…. he had to. So kick back in your dune-buggy or lay down naked on your sushi table. Light a candle and turn up the mids on this, another Hudson Mohawe soundtrack to make love to." - Lucky Me
One of LA's premier female beat-makers and Red Bull Music Academy All-star, Tokimonsta teamed up with Montreal's Lunice and German producer Swede: art to bring you one of the freshest beats I've heard in a while. This collaborative effort is the first single off of the latest volume of the "Various Asssets" albums presented by Red Bull Music Academy. The likes of James Pants, Katy B, Space Dimension Controller, Dâm-Funk, Hudson Mohawke, and many of the other producers that were involved with this year's RBMA in London will be featured on "Various Assets" on its July 19th release.
What do you get when you batter the shit out of "Butter"??? You get "Margarine." In this Free Mixtape EP featuring beats by Hud Mo and rhymes by Ced Hughes, "Butter" is turned to "Margarine." Just last year Hudson Mohawke released his critically acclaimed album "Butter." I had the privilege of seeing Hud Mo live earlier this year where he performed his entire album and much more which was arguably one of the craziest and intense spectacles T.Dot has seen to date (Post with video's coming soon). If you still haven't noticed, I am a giant Hud Mo fan! In this EP, up and coming Hip-Hop/Experimental rapper, Ced Hughes, lays down an entire album worth of bars on various beats off of "Butter." Now, I never thought Hudson Mohawke's beats were meant to be taken and rapped over because they were just that good instrumentally, let alone that there would be a full mixtape released of it! But I have to give the man Ced Hughes major credit. He definitely did his thing over every beat not trying to take the spot light from the beats but rather flowing with them smoothly.
Check the video below for the track "Spacely Sprokets" off of Margarine:
Due to recent controversy about this project and the people behind it, RVS would just like to say that I acknowledge that Hudson Mohawke or anyone that represents him, had absolutely nothing to due with the above mixtape. It's simply Ced Hughes that rapped over his beats without his permission, that is all, please don't spam the comment area with hate messages toward us, its simply a mixtape that we posted. End of discussion.
Most of you guys have probably heard a few songs off this remix mixtape like Flying Lotus's "Photoshoot" remix, but here is the full album featuring dope remasterings by Hudson Mohawke, Dam-Funk, Dabrye, Prefuse 73 and many more!
On the regular, you would never catch me listening to the original versions of these songs, but these remixes have me singing along to every word...
