 "Sub Pop's hip-hop roster expands to three acts (after Spoek Mathambo and Shabazz Palaces) this March, when the label issues awE naturalE the debut album from THEESatisfaction, a Seattle group that appeared heavily on Shabazz Palaces' Black Up. Sub Pop is offering the group's first single for download below, and it's pretty great. It's called "QueenS" and it's built on a neo-soul vocal loop and some of the most airy, beautiful sing-rapping this side of Lauryn Hill. If this is how the whole album is going to sound, this one is a can't miss, folks.

Shabazz Palaces - Are You...Can You...Were You? (Felt) [Music Video]

After dropping their phenomenal 2011 album, "Black Up", Shabazz Palaces are back with this narrative music video for, "Are You...Can You...Were You? 2011 has turned out to be a fantastic year in music. We saw the emergence of a variety of young talent in a range of genres. We also saw a slew of veteran artists return to what originally made them great. There has literally just been too much good music that came out this year that it's easy to understand if you couldn't keep up with a lot of it. When compiling this list we actually had somewhere around a 100 different albums that could all easily be on this list therefore narrowing it down to just 50 was extremely difficult and arduous. So give it up to all these talented artists in 2011!
