DâM-FunK & Master Blazter - Songs From Scratch [Video]

This footage featuring DâM-FunK and his Master Blazter band mates, Computer Jay and the late great J-1, is one of the last performances the trio had together before J-1's passing last November. The band hit the studio to put together some "Songs From Scratch" in their classic live jam session style. I was fortunate enough to see the band rock a live show two summers ago and it was truly mesmerizing.
R.I.P to J-1 Coleman. Master Blazter will never be the same.

DāM-FunK & Master Blazter - Forever [Music Video]

DāM-FunK & The Master Blazter crew deliver this fonky new music video for DāM's track Forever off his new EP InnaFocusedDaze.
" The homey Dâm-Funk is here to help. His 2009 double-disc compendium Toeachizown (Stone's Throw) made life smoother, more limber, and fun-fun-fun-funkier. Now Dâm-Funk delivers his new video  — filmed in a supersaturated astral realm — and some loved-up keytar heroics. Tailor-made for the art of seduction. " - Scion A/V

DâM-FunK / Computer Jay - LA 7 (ACLA10x10x7)

I was real excited when I heard about this one! I had the chance to catch Master Blazter perform this past summer in what was undoubtedly one of the greatest group performances I have ever witnessed! Check out the highlights from the show HERE.
Could this be a prelude to a possible Master Blazter album?

"Number 7 in the series showcasing the sound of two thirds of the MasterBlaster group – Dam Funk & ComputerJay. The ubiquitious Dam Funk needs little introduction. He’s definitely played at a town near you on multiple occasions in the last few years and still has time for his weekly throwdown – Funkmosphere- in Culver City keeping his hood pass most definitely intact. He gives us two tracks here – the first a delicious groover ‘Night Stroll’ and the second a more frenetic workout – ‘3012 Luv Affair’. Flipping over Computer Jay kicks off in an almost ESG-esque vein with ‘Phantom’ following with two further tracks of heavy drums and an array of analog sounds. In keeping with much of the series Jay’s side blends as one packing in a whole heap to his ten minutes. As ever it’s held together by B+ photo jacket."

DâM-FunK & Master Blazter Live @ Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn, New York & New D-F Tracks! [DWNLD]

Earlier this month Unda aka Undaground Tha Illest (1/3 of the Blunt Guts Nation crew) and myself had the privilege of seeing DJ Spinna, DâM-FunK & Master Blazter tear it up @ Fort Greene Park in Brooklyn, New York! DJ Spinna opened up the show with an ambient-funk set that had the entire park groovin' to the rhythm. DâM-FunK soon followed with his trademark, multitalented, backup band; Master Blazter. The band is composed of Computer Jay workin' the keys, J-1 slaughtering the drums and D-F doing everything musically possible! DâM put on one hell of a show. He was on the keyboards, doing Key-tar solo's all over the stage and jumping into the crowd all while singing every note perfectly at the same time. Check the high light reel of the show below:
