The Other Guys - Joe & Insanate’s Excellent LP [DWNLD]

Mighty Joe & Isaiah Insanate Mensah are the multitalented alternative hip hop band better known as, The Other Guys. The up and coming DC duo follow up their debut project, "The Geeks Shall Inherit The Earth", with their latest efforts, "Joe & Insanate's Excellent LP".

Combining influences both new and old, the 11 track LP features an eclectic blend of samples, live drums, analog keyboards, and movie clips all underscoring a flurry of raw yet floetic rhymes. The album even features a smooth rework of Childish Gambino's 2011 single, "Letter Home" !

Clear Soul Forces - Detroit Revolution(s) LP [DWNLD]

Earlier this month, budding new collective, Clear Soul Forces, dropped their highly anticipated album, "Detroit Revolution(s)". The crew took the music world by storm in early January after releasing the breakout lead single from the project, "Get No Better". Well the rest of the LP features much of the same dopeness while the crew offers sparse tributes to the highly influential J Dilla throughout.

The 15 track album is primarily produced by one fourth of the quartet, Ilajide, along with a few guest productions from Nameless, KanKick and King Midas.

That classic Detroit sound meets the future. Dilla would be proud.

Jonti - Sine & Moon (Free Album) [DWNLD]

After releasing his phenomenal debut album, Twirligig in 2011, Stones Throw artist Jonti drops this free 15 track album out of the blue entitled, Sine & Moon. The album is based off the Sine & Moon Mix podcast which was put together last year. The podcast featured a variety of tracks that were being requested for individual release. As a result we have the album version here now.
