Another sad day in the music world today as we mourn the loss of the mother of Hip Hop, Sylvia Robinson. Sylvia played a large role originating the genre, working with
Sugar Hill Records as one of the first female producers, followed by a successful solo career. She helped produce classics like the Sugar Hill Gang's
Rappers Delight as well as Grandmaster Flash's
