Codes & Craze - Deeper [Music Video]

In the past several months, Slow Roast label mates, Codes and DJ Craze have had everyone up in arms with sneak previews here and there of a mysterious new dripping wet deep house track. Well after much anticipation, the duo finally dropped the equally mesmerizing visuals for "Deeper" via Scion A/V earlier this year. Great to hear the classic liquid house vibe making a comeback! Get down with the visuals and pick up the single which is out now along with moombah and big room remixes by both artists below!

Codes - Codes House Remix EP

It has been a stellar year for banger maestro, Codes. From releasing his debut EP, Codes House, on Slow Roast Records to throwing freebies left and right, the guy hasn't stopped for a minute. And we thank him for that since none of the releases have even come close to failing us. To top off 2011, Codes drops the Codes House Remix EP. Officially, it comes out on Slow Roast Records in two days, (13/12/2011), but for now, we have a sample of the remix from Rob Sparx and JWLS.

Featuring the likes of Torro Torro, JWLS, Flinch, and Wax Motif & Neoteric this remix EP will have you shaking that ass from intro to outro! Also check out Codes minimix of the EP below!

Dj Craze - Dance Alone (Music Video) [DWNLD]

A few weeks back, RVS covered Craze's single Dance Alone off of his Dance Alone EP. That track was ill and once the EP dropped, my jaw dropped even more. I honestly didn't think it could drop any further until the music video dropped yesterday. Featuring the Louie the Slow Roast Recs Pig, the music video has more cameos than your average "Where's Waldo?".

"All night long, I'ma dance alone, they think I'm crazy!"

And now, courtesy of Media Contender, Craze just dropped a new mix featuring newbies coming soon to Slow Roast Records. Check it out here.

Klever - Wet Paint Mix [DWNLD]

The Slow Roast Records man steps out and hits us with his end of the summer mix. This mix makes me wish it was the end of the summer forever with Klever.

 WET PAINT MIX by KLEVER
"The mix features songs by AC SlaterCrookersNeoteric & Wax Motif and A1 Bassline.  Not to mention a bunch of new and unreleased tunes by the hometeam: Codes’s remix to Dances’ Bout the HouseCraze’s Dance Alone ft. Wrekonize and few of Klevers new tunes fresh off the grill!  Klev even gets into a bit of Moombahton at the end where he plays his Atencion tune." - Slow Roast Records

Dj Craze - Dance Alone ft. Wrekonize [DWNLD]

I've literally been waiting for months for this track to surface. So when I woke up this morning and saw an email about this, I was so excited I had to post it immediately. Definitely a huge banger for the summer, this track shows the versatility of Craze's style. From DMC champ a while back to releasing these poppin' house tracks, Craze is an absolute legend.
Check out 'Dance Alone' and 'Summer Riddim' below! Don't forget to check out Slow Roast Records for more goodies from a dope label!

Codes - Codes House EP [DWNLD]

I'm a huge fan of golden age House / Dance and that is exactly what this EP is all about.
" This BK, NY based beat maker is reachin' back to those golden days of hip-hop and house music. The days where you might sit in a record shop for hours searching for that diamond in the rough. His sound is a little cut n' paste, a little production wizardry, and a lot of love. Somewhere between here and there, then and now; thats really the best way to describe Codes take on dance music. This project pulls from his colorful background as the turntablist, producer, party starter, and of course music aficionado. His years of experience on both side of the decks makes him a natural fit on Slow Roast Records, and his production chops make him an exciting name to watch for 2011 and beyond! Dj Craze Scratching Like a Pro Round Two [VIDEO]

Everyone that is remotely interested in electronic music has seen Dj Craze scratching live and showing off his skills to the world. If you haven't, here's your chance to redeem yourself.

But this post isn't here to get you all caught up; instead, Dj Craze had the brilliant idea to go round two. And if you thought round one was epic, round two leaves you KO'ed in the space of a couple of minutes. Enjoy!

The Weekly Electronic Smash!

It's that time of the week again and a lot has been happening in the electronic world. We'll start off by checking out Mad Decent! This week Mad Decent released two dope mixtapes. The first one is by none other but the legend that is Mumdance. Last week I wrote about how Mumdance was dubbing the new hit from France but to be honest, he is so legendary he shouldn't even be worried about dubbing the next big French hit. A while ago he dropped another mixtape with AC Slater on Trouble and Bass, but this Mad Decent mixtape has so much unreleased music some of the songs don't even have titles! Download it below and blast it!

Mad Decent also released the Lazerproof mixtape which was made by both Diplo and Switch for La Roux while they were in Jamaica working on new stuff. It has a think reggae feel to it and it definitely fits with the whole Major Lazer outfit. The album is available below so download it!

Fool's Gold did something quite spectacular this week: they started up a side blog - Food's Gold. And yes, you guessed it, it's completely and utterly about food! How dope is that? Not only can you check out new releases but now you can check out awesome recipes! Now all we need are foolishly golden drinks and we're set for the best nights out!

Fool's Gold also released the L.A. Riot's Summer mix which can be downloaded below. Personally, I enjoyed their spring mix more, but check it out and post me some feedback on which you prefer!

Ed Banger Records have finally released the digital version of Mr. Oizo and Gaspard Auge's Rubber EP. As a bonus on the EP, and this one goes out to all our dubstep fans, Flying Lotus remixed the shit out of the song Rubber. In fact, he remixed it so much, that it's officially called the 'Flying Lotus Unprotected Sex' remix. It's that legit. A while back Mr. Oizo had remixed a FlyLo song, so FlyLo has just paid the man back.

Finally, as a bonus this week I offer two specials:
1. The Fool's Gold x Creators Project : Explaining the origins and the work at Fool's Gold, exclusive to the Slow Roast Records blog.
2. A Mux Mool remix! I'm a big fan of Mux Mool and their work and this remix is dope. Check out the song below!

Until next week people!

Senor Stereo - Unintentional EP [DWNLD]

A blend of sexy disco, funk, and old school house/techno is what Senor Stereo is determined to bring to the music scene. Senor Stereo are the newest djs to join Slow Roast Records and they have only just released their first EP a couple of days ago. The Unintentional EP has been well received and has even appeared on the Fool's Gold blog. This is only the second release by Slow Roast Records and it seems like they're signing all the right acts. Don't forget to also check out their first release (Kill The Noise - Roots)! In any case, Senor Stereo is definitely an act to catch on tour with them promising both live gigs and other times, simply a dj set. One thing is for certain though, their songs are definitely rocking the dancefloors this summer!
