After much anticipation,
Lupe Fiasco has finally dropped the long awaited lead single,
"Around My Way (Freedom Ain't Free), off his upcoming project,
"Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album", and it does not disappoint. With his patented complex lyricism,
Fiasco turns the beat inside out. The
Simonsayz and
B-Side production has received some criticism as it borrows the iconic horns from
Pete Rock &
CL Smooth's classic 1992 single,
"T.R.O.Y." But all controversy aside, this single is a phenomenal start to what will undoubtedly be a terrific sequel album. Listen and buy it off
iTunes below!
