" From the first early glimpses of Henry Laufer’s work as Shlohmo, it was clear that he was on to something. With an effortless grasp on spatial sound design combined with deceptively simple melodies, subtle bass drops and swinging slow motion drums constructed from lo-fi laptop recordings, Henry’s work on the Shlohmoshun Deluxe and Camping EP immediately put him into the forefront of a new wave of talent rising among the hordes of west coast beat makers.

Inspired by the desire to write songs and create a release of full-range instrumentation/vocals all his own, Laufer promptly began home-recording Bad Vibes, his proper full-length debut album for the Friends of Friends label. The Places EP includes the lead single of that very name and 3 unique b-sides from this recording period… giving a small window into the maturing mind and exciting future output of Wedidit Collective’s head honcho, Shlohmo… " - Friends Of Friends
