Some old, unreleased Common is always welcome at RVS!

"This new, previously unreleased track from Common was originally thought to be a leftover from the Like Water for Chocolate era, or around 1998-2000. But after several listens, it became clear that the reggae-tinged "Follow Me," which references former President George W. Bush and weapons of massive destruction, was likely recorded during the Be sessions, or 2003-05. Either way, new Common is still one hell of a treat, even with the unfinished feel of the track. Still, I could definitely hear this fitting in on Be, particularly because of the jazzy, horns-laden production." - Prefix Mag

"As much as I'd like to have an elaborate story behind this ep, the truth is; it's simply a collection of beats that I made within a certain amount of time, that I feel stuck out from the rest. The selection was made by nobody else but me. With that being said, it is a completely honest and whole-hearted gesture.

The term "reliques" was used because I feel, aesthetically, it possess a universal and classic characteristic, and that is more or less the same kind of expression I am hoping to relay to you all with my music. Not like mozart style or some fuckin ape man shit... but the approachability and biological/ evolutionary familiarity of a word like reliques (an archaic variant of "relics") to me, really does magnify the intended essence of the music. and it means alot to me, so I guess there is some literal significance there too. I also like how the conceptual relation (music to title) kind of leaves you with room to venture, but doing so without being so vague as to seem arbitrary." - AL_PD
